Croissant au Beurre
Three days of lamination, baked to a deep amber with a honeycomb crumb. The one to start with.
Fortitude Valley · Brisbane
A hole-in-the-wall French pâtisserie on Wickham Street — buttery, hand-laminated viennoiserie, pâtisserie finished the morning it's sold, and truly excellent coffee.
Our Story
Eloise & Lou is the work of chef Adrien Marcinowski, who brings nearly four decades of pastry craft to a bright little shopfront in Fortitude Valley. Every croissant is laminated by hand; every tart is finished the morning it's sold.
“Nothing sits. Nothing waits. What’s on the tray is what came out of the oven.”
It's a grab-and-go pâtisserie in the truest sense — a handful of stools at the door, a case that changes with the morning, and coffee dialled in before the first bake. Order a flat white a little too quickly and you'll still leave with a box you didn't plan on buying.
The Counter
A rotating case of French classics and the morning's specials. Everything is made in-house, in small batches, seven days a week.

Three days of lamination, baked to a deep amber with a honeycomb crumb. The one to start with.

Raspberry barquettes, lined up and waiting.

Crisp, buttery shell with fresh berries — the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Pain au chocolat, almond croissant and the morning's special.

Layers of cream, sponge and berries, portioned at the counter.

Buttery pastry, rich filling — the ham & cheese croissant's close cousin.

Ask what came out last — the tray is the menu.

Coffee
The coffee is consistently excellent and dialled in before the first bake — pour-over precision with a grab-and-go pace. But the one people come back for is the salted caramel cold foam, a smooth, indulgent twist on an already great cup.
